Stop Smoking With Physical Exercise

When you choose to give up smoking, you will bring forth various other modifications in your life too. Smoking cigarettes is a really habit forming routine, meaning that it is very difficult to quit. Presently there are lots of adjustments that happen, although workouts are usually a big help to you if you decide to stop.

Make an effort to set a fresh routine, such as working out or visiting the health club. If that is not achievable, you should try getting out of bed earlier and go for a short walk. When you can turn that stroll into a run or a jog, it’s going to be really revitalizing plus the easiest way that you could start your entire day.

Keep in mind that physical exercise doesn’t actually mean pumping metal. If you do not have the time to stop by the gym every single day, it isn’t actually that big of a problem, because you can often decide to workout at home.

Regardless of whether you choose to exercise in your own home or at a gym, you should always remember that consistency is the key. It isn’t really how to get started that’s the hard part, it is actually sticking with an everyday exercise program that’s challenging and actually is an obstacle for many people.

Some people have a great start. These people will get track outfits, gym wear, athletic shoes, and lots of various other gear, so their first trip to the gym is almost like a special event. As the days go by, these people find it tough to meet the requirements and their schedule will decrease a lot and finally arrived at a complete workout burn up.

One problem that several people make is picking out the early evenings to workout. If evenings suit your lifestyle, then its great. For most people however, the night-time hours are generally when they are totally pooped. By the night-time most of us are drained, and simply way too worn out for exercise. For that reason, it’s always best to set a bit of time aside for exercise every morning.

In the morning, wake up thirty minutes or so early, wear your footwear, and hit the road. Most roads are less crowded in the morning and much less contaminated at the same time, making it an excellent and relaxing method to start your day.

You should also steer clear from the java and consider herbal tea as an alternative. If you happen to be getting around in the home, consider playing music. You also can redecorate your room by having a few photographs around. Any time you decorate, you should get rid of every thing that reminds you of smoking cigarettes.

Plan your day where you will have something enjoyable to do at the end of the day. It doesn’t have to be something that involves money, since you don’t want to find yourself broke. Having to spend time with family, enjoying activities, or enjoying a walk with your family are all great routines.

Watching TV doesn’t actually fit the list. The reason is television is not a thing that demands lots of attention. You can simply do another thing as you are viewing television.

It’s also wise to create a list of stuff that develop your stress levels and try to avoid them. If it isn’t possible, you should try to learn some ways to break stress and use them. What ever you do, you shouldn’t use stress as a possible excuse to start cigarette smoking.

There are other methods that you can use to beat anxiety. You can try breathing in physical exercises, meditation, or even music. One more easy way to beat stress is definitely the distressing ball. If there isn’t one or access to one, you can wiggle your hands and toes. This too is a good and natural method to defeat stress.

How to Be Happy After Quitting Weed

How to be happy if I don’t smoke cannabis? This is one of the most difficult questions to answer when it is asked by someone who smokes weed regularly.

The person asking the question has been depressed for sometime and the only light at the end of their tunnel of sadness is – the weed, the drink, the drugs of their choice.

So persuading someone who is unhappy to stop doing the one thing that makes them happy is a particularly hard sell.

The reality of smoking weed

At least that’s how it seems. In reality it’s not like this. The reality is that people taking drugs and alcohol are not happy at all – even when they drink and take drugs.

The “high” associated with regular marijuana intake is not “happiness”. It is anesthesia.

Weed seemed like it made an enjoyable situation more enjoyable but it actually diminishes the infinite possibilities of life and makes you unhappy.

Because we are programmed to seek out food and consume. Our mind, when food is aplenty, tries to seek out brain-food and consume – assuming, incorrectly, that the consumption of weed will cause the end of unhappiness, in the same way as the consumption of food causes the end of hunger.

Happiness is illusive

Human beings can fly to the moon, create super-computers and do amazing things but they don’t know how to be happy. There are thousands of books including some of the most revered religious texts on the subject, and yet they won’t tell you the answer.

Happiness is something that happens unexpectedly while you’re doing something else After thousands of years of technological advances and improvements in education, learning and standard of living we are not even a little bit closer to understanding happiness.

How to be happy

So, the logical assumption is to stop looking for things outside ourselves to make ourselves happy.

If we have food, shelter and reasonable health, there is nothing in the “outside” that we actually need. Everything that matters is inside ourselves. Our thoughts and our feelings. And, more importantly, our awareness of our thoughts and feelings is all that we are and all that we have.

If you can concentrate your feelings on you, and strip away the layers of want and fear that the modern world has wrapped you in, you will find out more about what you are and what you need.

You may find that you actually need very little indeed as it is the wanting and needing that has made you unhappy in the first place.

Of course this is all easier said than done. Try telling someone who’s been smoking grass everyday for 15 years that she/he doesn’t need anything. The initial first few weeks after giving up can be the most depressing, boring and irritating moments in anyone’s life. That is why it is essential they look after their health, eat and drink properly, exercise and keep busy doing whatever hobbies they had before weed took them.

Laser Treatment for Quitting Smoking

The Alternative Medicine Industry

Alternative medicine is a multi-billion dollar business with $43 billion being spent by American consumers every year. Therapies considered as alternative are a diverse bag. Some are considered as having therapeutic properties, whilst many are of doubtful effectiveness and some are simply bizarre. I have dealt with acupuncture as an aid to smoking cessation in a previous article and in this article I am going to take a critical look at laser therapy for stopping smoking.

Medical uses of Laser Light

In laser treatment for quitting smoking a pulse of low energy light is aimed at various points on the skin. It is often compared to acupuncture and the laser light is directed at various acupuncture pressure points. Practitioners of laser treatment claim that this causes the release of endorphins in the body. Endorphins are a natural opiate and are normally released during times of physical stress or trauma. They are also released when we are engaged in pleasurable activities, such as sex. Conventional laser therapy is a legitimate medical procedure used to treat a variety of conditions. However, usually medical laser therapy differs from laser treatment for quitting smoking in one very important way. The laser light is high energy and delivers a concentrated beam of light to a small area of the body being treated. The impact of this high energy light can be used to cauterise blood vessels in the eye or destroy cancer cells in the skin. Lasers can also be used as a ‘light scalpel’ for surgical procedures. This is just a few of the medical uses of high energy lasers. Low energy lasers have been used to treat acute pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis and other chronic joint disorders.

Is Laser Treatment for Quitting Smoking Legitimate?

So, is laser treatment for quitting smoking effective? A number of clinical trials have been conducted looking into this question. Their conclusions: There is no evidence that low energy laser light is an effective smoking cessation aid. If it as any effect at all it is due to its action as a placebo. Even if could be shown that laser therapy results in endorphin release it is difficult to see how this would stop nicotine cravings. At best it would cause a feeling of well being. The same effect could be achieved by strenuous physical exercise.

Go For a Run Instead

I am under no illusions about laser treatment for quitting smoking- it is a total sham and has no basis as a therapy in the modern medical context. Not surprising, this treatment does not come cheap. Typically, laser treatment for quitting smoking will cost about US$350. Now that’s what I call expensive snake oil! As is often the case with fringe treatments for smoking cessation, the quoted quit rates are outrageously high. And this is the case with laser treatment for quitting smoking. I have seen quoted quit rates for laser treatment for quitting smoking in excess of 90%. This is clearly ridiculous as no stop smoking program or aid, even those of proven effectiveness, will ever achieve anything like this success rate. The old adage: ‘if it seems to be good to be true, then it probably is’ certainly applies to laser treatment for quitting smoking. If you are serious about stopping smoking and have money to spend you would be well advised to spend it on a proven and effective smoking cessation product or program.
